About Chinnodu
Chinnodu is a local discovery platform for Bangalore's Instagram-first sellers — home bakers, boutique kitchens and small businesses that run entirely on WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, and are nearly impossible to find when you actually need one.
The problem we solve
You need a birthday cake by Saturday. Instagram shows you reels from five cities ago, saved posts from two years ago, and profiles that stopped posting in 2023. There is no search, no prices, no map — just DMs and hope. Chinnodu puts these sellers on a map with real products and real prices, so the search takes minutes, not evenings.
How listings are compiled
Listings are compiled from public sources — local curated lists, city blogs and the businesses' own public websites. We do not scrape private accounts or invent entries. Where a business has publicly published its phone number or website, we include it; where we don't have it, the field stays empty until the owner adds it.
Every listing is unclaimed by default. If you run a business on Chinnodu, it's yours: claim the page for free to edit products, prices, photos and contact details — or ask us to take it down.
What "Verified" means
A human on the Chinnodu team checked the seller's public profile and listing against their live menu or posts
Prices, delivery areas and contact channels matched at the time of the check
The check date is shown on the seller's page — listings age, so always confirm details with the seller before ordering
How Chinnodu makes money
Right now, it doesn't. Listings are free, claiming is free, and there is no commission on orders — sellers keep 100% of what customers pay them. The early-access program at the bottom of the homepage shapes what a sustainable version looks like.
