Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the directory, we don't track you across the internet, and we delete your data when you ask.
What we collect
Account data: your name, email address, mobile number and a bcrypt hash of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Contact reveals: when you open a seller's WhatsApp/Instagram details, we log which seller and when — this enforces the 10-contacts-per-day limit and protects sellers from scraping.
Usage events: anonymous page views, WhatsApp/Instagram clicks and search activity, used to show sellers basic stats and improve the directory.
Uploaded images: photos you upload for your listings are stored on our server and served publicly.
What we don't do
No third-party advertising trackers or analytics scripts.
No selling or sharing of your personal data with anyone.
No scraping of your Instagram account. Instagram connections use Meta's official OAuth only, with your explicit consent.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie for your login session and short-lived signed cookies for in-progress sign-up flows. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Data removal
Email hello@chinnodu.com from your registered address and we will delete your account and personal data within 7 days. Listing content you published for a claimed business may be retained in anonymised form.
